Mayor Cantrell to close Walmart in N.O. East if “they can’t get it together”

Mayor Cantrell said the city of New Orleans has multiple bad actors

Mayor Latoya Cantrell said that the City of New Orleans has multiple “bad actors” on their radar when it comes to following the rules and regulations for COVID-19. Ultimately the city could temporarily shut them down if they don’t make changes.

In a press conference today, Cantrell that some of the national chains in New Orleans haven’t been following the City’s guidelines for social distancing and mask wearing among employees including the Walmart in New Orleans East.

Cantrell said everyone needs to be held accountable as she’s been in contact with local and regional management and they have assured her that changes will be made.

The mayor also mentioned chains like Rouses, ” There’s a couple of stores that we’re focusing on, quite frankly the General De Gaulle store thats unacceptable”.

More restrictions for the City of New Orleans are underway as the 4th of July weekend approaches. Stay tuned to newtralgroundz for updates.
