New Orleans Jazz Museum hosts NOLA Zydeco Fest outdoor live music, food, and culture festival on Saturday, July 3rd across from the French Market’s Creole Tomato Festival.

NEW ORLEANS, June 3, 2021: On Saturday, July 3rd, the French Quarter will be filled with the sounds of Zydeco music and the smells of authentic Creole cuisine compliments of the NOLA Zydeco Festival happening at the New Orleans Jazz Museum located at 400 Esplanade Ave. This free, public, family-friendly event will feature not only live bands and musical acts, but will also offer authentic Zydeco dance lessons, along with access to delicious food vendors and historical exhibits in the New Orleans Jazz Museum.

“This event is filled with great music and entertainment paired with great local chefs and summer cocktails! We are excited to join forces with so many culture bearers and two of the French Quarter’s landmarks: The French Market and The New Orleans Jazz Museum,” said Co-Founder, Gabrielle Deculus. “We have been planning this for a while to honor our Great Grandfather Alphonse ‘Bois Sec’ Ardoin and his Creole Zydeco legacy, as well as all families and friends that love to dance and sing, Gathering is important.” Co-Founder Courtney Smith added.

Tamica Lee of WGNO and Bravo’s Southern Charm will keep the energy going all day as NOLA Zydeco Fest’s Hostess along with Zydeco Dance Instructors Arthur Corbin and Harold Guillory. Grammy-nominated Artist Sean Ardoin is set to headline the event along with Houston’s “Bass in Yo’ Face” artist Lil Nathan, and Lake Charles’ Rusty Metoyer & the Zydeco Krush. All bands will be performing live on the Alphonse “Bois Sec” Ardoin main stage located in the New Orleans Jazz Museum courtyard facing Barracks St.

Festival goers will enjoy a wide selection of food options, from boiled seafood and turkey legs to fresh local fruit smoothies and Snoballs. Local restaurants and food truck owners will be located at the Esplanade “Big Mamou” entrance. This area will feature a range of authentic Louisiana cuisine. Some of the vendors are Froot Orleans, Elton’s BBQ, Tasty Treat Restaurant, Pot and Paddle, Issa Snack Express, Rootz Cuisine, and Sweet Thangs Designer Snoballs.
