City Girls “Twerk” featuring Cardi B is more New Orleans Than They Know.

City Girls “Twerk” brings Heat with the TRIGGAMAN BEAT

With the continuous uprise in Bounce music across the Nation, it’s hard not to take note of the not-so-subtle bounce beats in City Girls new song “Twerk” featuring Cardi B. Throughout the song, the classic “Triggerman” bounce beat is heard. The video is even more telling. Although “twerking” has circled back around and become part of the new age scene, it’s been a staple in New Orleans for decades.

It’s exciting to increasingly hear more bounce flavor in music today, but it’s important to shed light on where it all originated. Which is… New Orleans, the Nola, the Crescent City, the Big Easy.

Check out “Twerk” below and let us know what you think. I can’t seem to think about anything except for New Orleans.
