How Soulja Slim Changed Reebok. | What Are Soulja Rees?

Much is known about Soulja Slim, but we don’t hear enough about how he impacted the brand identity of one of your favorite shoe brands.

A few days ago I was out at lunch when I spotted someone wearing a pair of all black Reebok Mid-tops without the strap. That sight was followed by a rush of memories of growing up in New Orleans and seeing those shoes everywhere.

The Soulja Rees became a flagship shoe in New Orleans after 3rd ward legend Soulja Slim began talking about them in his music and repping them frequently in the streets.

Soulja Slim’s brand was so big that Reebok saw a positive increase in sales during Slim’s primetime. This is history that can’t be forgotten!
