How New Orleans Shifted From Being The Murder Capital to the Entrepreneurship Capital of the United States.

New Orleans has a very grim reputation. Most of which derives from the housing development crisis of the 90s, and Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans locals are painted as being ignorant, violent, and disrespectful in mainstream media. However, the numbers say otherwise.

Entrepreneurship.com released a list for the Top 10 Best Cities for Young Entrepreneurs in the United States. The top five cities are New Orleans, Salt Lake City, Philidelphia, Milwaukee, and Hartford. The Big Easy tops the list with the most millennial entrepreneurs in the U.S.

This is a major accomplishment for New Orleans, a city that doesn’t get credit for enterprise or market innovation. Maybe this is the turning point for New Orleans, and the world will start taking us more seriously in the business space.

What do you think? Is this a big moment for the Crescent City? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
