5 NOLA Bounce artists you should know about!

NOLA Bounce music is a large part of the New Orleans experience. The subgenre was created in the late 1980s and has been a part of the culture ever since. Bounce is still making its way into mainstream, and has been growing slowly but surely. Here are five New Orleans bounce artists that we feel you should definitely know about!

Big Choo is a veteran in the bounce game. He is a strong believer giving back to the youth. He has also been featured on So You Think You Can Dance representing New Orleans and bounce culture. Game Ova Reedy is one of the newer bounce artists on the scene. She is developing a large fanbase around the city and was also good friends with the late BTY Youngn. She released a video called FREESTYLE that has already recieved over a half of a million views on YouTube.more
Big Freedia is arguably one of the most successful bounce artists in America. She has been on world tours, and has a television show on Fuse that's on it's 6th season. Big Freedia definitely has taken bounce to a new level. more
Shardaysa Jones is a new comer in the industry that has been generating a lot of attention lately. Her single Gimmie my Gots has been buzzing in New Orleans, and Houston for a good amount of time now. We are excited to see which direction she heads in the bounce industry. more
Hassizle is a seasoned artist who performs with Big Freedia and other notable bounce artists. He is also known for spreading the bounce culture from New Orleans to Houston, TX.
