Who Started Gold Teeth? How New Orleans Pushed Slugs in America.

Gold teeth have been a staple in New Orleans culture for decades but where exactly do they come from?

A big debate took place on our Instagram account over the origins of “slugs”. A lot of people were upset after I made the claim that New Orleans popularized slugs back in the day. There were responses from people all over America saying that their hometown was the origin of gold teeth.

I decided to make a video about the subject. Slugs go way back and we should know more about them. Hopefully, this video will shed a little light on the origins of gold teeth.

Let me know what you think in the comments. Also, I want to hear about people in your family who have slugs. How old are they? What did they have to say about slugs?
