Directed by our very own Dr. Clipz, the video screams New Orleans! Opening with a shout out to all the women in the world, Dee-1 sets the vibe for the rest of the track and video. Being that we love our bounce music down here, we were immediately hooked with the first hook. The song is one we’ll hear going forward at every Super Sunday, cookout, and bounce bus that passes us by.
Although it goes without saying, the pairing of these two New Orleans artists is perfect. Denisia’s perfect pitch, Dee-1’s flow, and that classic bounce beat makes the track complete. The song is both happy and uplifting; something our city can always use.
Outside of the audio, the visuals for “Ready for You” are spot on. Dee-1 and Denisia are posted up in front of B-Mike’s vibrant “Studio Be”. We even see familiar face and Sheba Songz.
