She went from selling clothes from her online boutique out of her trunk to becoming a multimillionaire fashion executive.
Kari sat down with us for an interview where she touched on everything from her upbringing to how she managed to make millions using social media.
Kari attended Mcdonogh 35 Senior High School and she was crowned Miss 35 in 2005. Soon after she would attend Jackson State University where she studied Drama.
An important part of her journey has to do with the location of her business. New Orleans East has been getting an unfair reputation in local media. There aren’t a lot of stories about the thriving businesses in New Orleans East. This is one of the many reasons we were excited to do this interview. We need more positive representation in the media to help drive the economy forward.
