Nexus Louisiana Launches DevDays, a $5,000 ClimateTech Competition That Blends Tech Innovation With LSU Football Culture

Baton Rouge, LA — This fall, Louisiana’s tech and football pride collide at DevDays, a one-of-a-kind competition where innovators, coders, and problem-solvers come together to tackle the state’s toughest challenges.

Hosted by Nexus Louisiana, DevDays offers builders the chance to turn bold ideas into impactful solutions—all while competing for cash prizes, recognition, and the opportunity to showcase their work in front of industry leaders.

More Than a Hackathon

DevDays isn’t just about coding. It’s about creating solutions that matter—whether that’s a mobile app, a data tool, a wearable, or a fresh algorithm. Over four weeks, participants will work on their projects, culminating in a live demo event in Baton Rouge.

The competition rewards creativity, problem-solving, and potential impact over polish. Students, developers, designers, and first-timers alike are encouraged to step up and show what they can build.

What’s at Stake

  • $5,000 Cash Prize – Awarded to the winning student team.
  • Tiger Stadium Recognition – Winners will be announced on the field during LSU football games.
  • Accommodations & Perks – Finalists receive free hotel stays and meals, plus VIP passes to the Tech Tailgate, where they’ll connect with investors, innovators, and industry leaders.

If you’re an engineer hungry for the grind, a designer with bold ideas, or a first-timer ready to learn, DevDays is for you. From seasoned pros to college students and even ambitious high schoolers, anyone with a passion for solving problems and proving Louisiana can lead in tech is welcome.
