VICE heads to New Orleans to Investigate the Shooting of former Saints player Will Smith

“The Saint’s players are like hero’s, like gods, to people in New Orleans.”

VICE recently headed to New Orleans to investigate the shooting death of former Saint’s defensive end Will Smith. It was only April of 2016 that Will Smith was shot to death by Cardell Hayes after the two had a traffic altercation.

They recently released a vulnerable documentary featuring their investigative work. The documentary takes us all around the city, and features the family and friends of both Will Smith and Cardell Hayes. With a city left in disbelief, VICE does justice exploring both sides of the story.
